Monday 23rd June - Evening
Cologne to Andernach:
Another beautiful Summer evening for our return visit to Burg Namedy Castle for dinner and classical piano recital. As those who are following this blog regularly will know, we also had this visit last Monday night as part of our cruise on AMACello. The 2 cruises only overlap for approximately 2.5 days, so we are enjoying this time for some extra relaxation.
This time we have actually docked at Andernach overnight, so it was just a short 5-10 min coach trip to & from the castle.
Here is the link for last week's dinner at the castle as I only took a few photos, mainly of the garden, last night.

The menu was excellent & exactly the same, however, the pianist was different and equally as talented.
On our table we were the only Aussies would you believe? There were 5 from the UK, 2 from NZ & US. The demographic on this cruise has certainly changed from the previous two. The passengers are noticeably older & lot's from the UK, a few from the US & Europe, plus a larger proportion from NZ. I don't know the exact statistics, however, will attempt to find out. Most are friendly, just not the same people as our last two cruises :(
We returned to the ship around 10.45pm & it was still not really dark.
More tomorrow as we sail the Rhine Gorge towards.
Betty & Mike
