Weather - Warm & Sunny with possible cloudy spells 16-26C

Well after the excitement yesterday of booking The Emperors Wine tour, we received a note in our cabin late last night informing us it had been cancelled due to lack of numbers! Very disappointed as we were informed too late to book another tour. At this stage we will just go ashore & see what happens. This was one port I did quite a bit of research on for private tours, however, unless you were in a group of 6 or more the costs were prohibitive. Maybe we will just find a local bus.

Arrived in Messina early today (supposed to be 9am but we were actually almost docked at 8.15) as we were having breakfast so took a few photos from our dining room table:

As you can see the weather is beginning to look a little dubious with cloud increasing so maybe a good thing we are not heading towards the mountains today.

We will head out shortly & see what we can find to do for a few hours. Hopefully finding some free WiFi.

This town looks so much nicer & cleaner than Naples but I guess it is more a tourist destination than an industrial port.
